I'm Daniel Macri. I live on Koh Phangan, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand, where I've built a quiet life out of several practical things (hosting travellers, managing properties, photographing houses and coastline) and one impractical thing: writing.
The writing is a book in progress, a stream-of-consciousness record of working with what's underneath: restlessness, fear, the shadow, will, meaning. It isn't self-help and it isn't memoir exactly. It's closer to a message in a bottle: written to find the people who recognise themselves in it.
